Baby on the way

In the end i may not start work on tue as my to be boss is having a baby soon and he just called me that he doesnt know when when exactly the baby is due, but probably within the weekend or mon, but he will give me a call when he knows or rather when he becomes Dad, as he would be taking 3 days off work, so if baby comes on mon, he prefers me to come for work on thur, so he can be there to prepare me or welcome me at the office...its one of those times, that i am feeling so inexperienced in the social ways of life, like what else can i say but 'gosh u must be so excited' ' best of luck' to parents to be.
I cant hardly begin to understand what does it mean by being married, then having a kid, and awaiting in hrs, mins and secs for the arrival of your OWN kid, how unnerving is that!!!! and all i could say its best of luck?! ha..
