Ha...found this cartoon when I googled for Preoccupied...pretty cute eh..relax, am not at that stage yet.:)
Being Preoccupied is what I am doing with work nowadays. Working in the FMCG market is a totally different ball game for me, and yes this is definately a FAST industry, its pace is 10-20x faster than my previous job at consumer durables aisle.
I was pretty much thrown into projects and all kinds of meetings, thats the fastest way to learn and I got lots of exposure and real responsibilities within 2 days? My mind is preoccupied with some project or another at every sec. And I have contracted the " Bring-It-Home" syndrome, though I am not physically working after working hrs, my brain is still thinking of work. Have to kick that habit, its extremely stupid esp when I was watching a movie at the cinema 2 weeks ago, I couldnt really totally let it go and enjoy the movie. Stress Ball, find something else to keep me busy on my personal time? Hehe oh well....
Thankfully enough, I like what I am doing so far and am accquiring new skill sets as I go along exploring new paths. And the BEST part is that working late nights is not the norm/ culture of the company. So how do we cope? Working more efficiently I guess? Hmmm interesting, will test out this theory:)
