You have accompanied me through spring, summer, autumn and winter
seen through snow, rain, hail, heat together
even though, you showed hints of weariness in your gaping holes
I still hung on to you till your heaving last breath where your back finally broke.

my trusty comfy boots, may you rest in peace
for you have served your master well
and its with the deepest regret that I have to let you go
