Sean and Weeling- The Happy Couple

Sean and Weeling ended their 9 year courtship and got married 2 Saturdays ago. Sean was on the same 2 MC teams with me, plus me "making sure" that i got invited, his wedding was the 1st local friend that i attended. ( which draw the surprise of my other local friends, where getting married nowadays is the happening norm..so why arent they married and inviting me?!)

Table No. 9

The wedding dinner is the standard Chinese 8 course dinner, cold dish, shark's fin soup, mushroom, fish, chicken etc...wayyyy full wayyy good. During the course of dinner, photos of the day event where the ceremony and funny activities took place where shown on the 2 big screens. Really funny to see Elvin, Chris, Jenny , Fabien who were helping out Sean's wedding during the day as the "sisters" and "brothers" playing tricks on each other, the forfeits etc, one of which the guys have the wear thongs over their pants. (chinese custom of the bride having hurdles/tricks with the help of her sisters, where the groom with the help of his brothers have to overcome to win her hand in marriage)

We have the AIESEC table, with ex trainees, ex team mates and it was a rare occasions where i met up Teresa, Grace, and of course Anna and the rest on the same table. :)

Funny moments of the night:
- Elvin being the compere of the wedding dinner, believes downing a couple of wines, aka being drunk HELPS him to host the dinner more INTERESTIINGLY

Chilli Chris-Red hot chilli peppers

- The guys except the french guy of course were all RED in the face from downing alcohol ( all the tables will try to te-kan/ sabo or make the wedding couple drink alot as they make their rounds at the tables to toast with the guests, hence the brothers come in use) hahaha
- Fabien, was of course the expert in wine, that we turned to instinctively when we wanted to know what kind of wine we are drinking, dude, i tell u, u can definately sell crossiants and wine and ex perfume/luxury gds...veli convincing hehe

The international table:Chau (Finland), Grace (HK), Jessica(Taiwan), Anna(Sweden), and the only local as usual.
- Our international table took photos at every single dish when it is presented on our table
- Sean sang for Weeling as they made the 2nd entrance, girls were going...awwww so sweeetttt!
- In bid to make the wedding couple DRINK the MOST at our table, we traded AIESEC rollcalls for each bottoms up of wine...how useful isnt it to rem a rollcall or 2 hahaha

Heartfelt congratulations to the wedding couple or rather Mr and Mrs Tan, thanks for having us and wish both of you all the best for many many years ahead together!

Sigh weddings make me go sentimental, and as Teresa says, makes u wonder hows it coming for yourself...hehe

Apples and Wine

A good feminist boost for the day, thanks JH!

Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt.Instead, they just take the rotten apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy....... The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

Now Men.... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the shit out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.
