JJ- Jun Jie

24-06-06_204524-06-06_2303

JJ Lin Jun Jie....aka the up and rising Chinese pop star from Singapore, who has by far has earned himself legions of fans in China, Taiwan, Msia and even Ni-pon. Got free tix to see his concert last night from mi boss, 8th row from the stage, damn good seats! Havent been to see a Chinese concert for a good sometime now, since 10 years ago, which was my good old Jacky cheung idolisation days.

Was a nice fun atmosphere to soak into, with fans from all ages ( even aunties), mainly females, cheering and screaming and waving their ultra technic light sticks with batteries included :P ....well other a tiny flaw, which had the star, popping qns every now and then, " So do you think I look Shuai(handsome)? Or cool" which made me cringe...Boy does he have some ego complex...all and all, he is a great entertainer, who can sing, dance, self compose and play the piano...

So JJ, you do rock! :)

Ohoh saw Flo on stage too!!! cool stuff, saw someone I knew on stage on a concert for the 1st time, but more happy for her to be doing something she enjoys!:)

it is a hard day's night...

Being a promoter:
Imagine standing on your feet for 10 hours everyday....promoting a prdt to passerbys...ok standing alone is enuff...you need alot of stamina! Organised this weekend promotion for sampling/selling our new No Sugar Added range of juices,, setup of the booth, got our promoter girls in, who are a bunch of great kids, 18 years old, wanted to recall if I was that cool at that age.. oh well...:P

Leads me to another pt that I think its gd exposure to be involved in all kinds of service-related jobs when you are still young as often yes than not, one tends to appreciate the effort or the job of service related pple like waiters, waitresses, promoters, or even pple handing out flyers after doing a similar job. It applied to me as I have done all the above jobs before. And now I do try to "help" them like taking leaflets even though you dont read it but it helps the guy to get rid of his leaflets so he can call it a day and go home earlier.

Youngish or oldish face:
and i guess NOT wearing makeup helps you heaps in reducing your age-perception to others...many pple thought that i am still in sch as i helped out at the booth...my gawd, do I look that young? yes yes its flattering and no no, i am not using this space to show off....just wanted to share, when i was 18, i could always pass off looking older than I shd be, and now when i am to be 26, i look early 20s....weird...ok in conclusion, want to look yawns younger, girls, skip the makeup.

What a Butt: Test drove the Nissan March today, and all I can say this car is so skewed to the female population with its stylish yet tendency towards almost a barbie feel in the interior panel...but design wise, did you check out his BUTT? hehe I have a fetish for roundish butts for cars, okok its a weird fetish, but HEY its a fetish, its meant to be weird :)

Its always good to have you around: If you are reading Mr Maaker, it was great to have you around, even if its only spending 3 hrs walking, running errands, and to/fro the airport. Really missed the times where we would walk and walk in stockholm city and talk about everything under the sun, discovering new coffee places and places to go. Have a great vacation and hope your mum likes her present! :)

Benefits of having a camera phone

1. 03-06-06_1535 Checked out the new Wiener Kaffeehause with Bulan, Chau and Jessica one lazy sat afternoon. Fantastic aroma of coffee from this one and only in-house roastry on the isle, makes it a must try!

2. 06-06-06_2121 06-06-06_2119 Celebrating Cheryl's and Liyan Bday at Sakae Sushi then Coffee Bean at Bugis! Was fun to catch up, sing bday songs and talk about this aiesec camp that we held in Msia in 2000 where the "harsh" living conditions, brought back hilarious memories up till today :D

More photos from Shelyn from her wedding. Yday this girl cooked up a storm to thank all her "sisters" and "brothers" for helping out. Man was impressed by her cooking, ate and ate, that explains the sore throat that I have now? :P Here are some of the funny photos we took on her big day as requested by official photographer.

Dinner and Dance

Group photo shot of my marketing department, competing in the Best Dressed category for our company's Dinner and Dance, theme being " Down Memmory Lane" retro style for 60s-80s.

Our get-up is inspired by Audrey Hepburn from Bfast at Tiffany's and on contrary to popular belief, everything is BUDGET! We made those fake ciggies from rollling straws on brown construction paper and black marker pens, those fur wraps you see, we just cut them from a block of cloth from Chinatown :D.. And of course combined with the AIESEC inspired dance of Wo Yao Ni De Ai! We walked with 2nd prize with little effort/ preparation.

Oh interesting detail:
-Went to the same hairdressing salon that my grams frequent ha..
- Never knew that my shoulder length hair could reach that length after styling, ALOT of hairspray and 15 hair pins.

Being Green in Bangkok

Couldn't remember what I posted the last time, does it show that it has been some time since I blogged. Anyways, just discovered more of my family, as in aunts, read my blog, so here's a wave to them too :)

Went to Bangkok last weekend for a retail therapy, since someone had a room at this incredible urban, zen, luxury hotel, why not?! Realised it has been almost 10 years since I last visited this city, and it has really transformed into a shopping hub, now I can finally understand why Singaporeans love to come here for a short wkend retail getaway. Very nice little shops along Siam Sq, reminded me of Taiwan somehow, no idea why.

Green is theme for this trip! :)
