The subject of Property is hot in my social circle right now

Colleagues and bosses just bought new HDB flats and spending on the renovation and furniture and home appliances

Old friends from sch getting married and queuing up for the HDB flat in the west area. A shocker to me but more or less confirming on the singapore's bias maybe, another one of my friend has bought a condo with her long term bf last week, coz its at a gd price she says, and yes they eventually are getting married, even though the bf has yet to pop the question. Happening to someone I know, its the 1st time. Confirms this to b non-fictious.

Pointless

When does a relationship become pointless? Or rather friendship

When you meet up, you do small talk, talk about the superficial stuff like hows work, hows life, how bfs, hows family etc and you meet say only 1-2 a year...

Someone says its because u dont share your more intimate or deeper insights of your life, hence your conversation always stays this way or superficial with this particular person...or rather there are pple who wish to be updated only 1-2 times a year and only talk on superficial topics...

What I am listening to

My latest discovery on the music scene: Diego Torres from Argentina, love his music,from his "Diego Torres Unplugged MTV" CD. :D Just googled and found that it garned a 47th Grammy® Awards Nomination: Best Latin Pop Album, wahhhh.

Plus point, a looker too on top of being a talented singer & composer.;)

- People living in a city are more materialistic? For e.g. they see nothing but new things to buy, hence they gauge self worth and value of others based on what they wear and how much they earn?

- A main reason why pple enter into boy-girl relationships is becoz they are bored, want to be entertained and are afraid of loneliness? ( well everyone is a certain pt i think)

the rain is to blame

since i woke up this late morning, it has been pouring with the roaring thunder and lightning, so stuck at home I was, not that I amm complaining, coz I love rain. Wrote emails, checked some stuff online and funnily I ventured to playing online games, well lets just say i am doing it for research. So addictive, played 2 baby related games and all those sounds make all the difference for these online games hehe, well try this at your own risk:

Clubbing no more?
Its age but I think I am too old for clubbing nowadays yes it cooler to move your body to the rhytem then to sit down and nurse a mug of beer, however places like MOS has such young crowd, and there is this overwhelming urge for them to dress/dance to impress, which seems so juvenile to me. Heck, think the pple are around my bro's age, 20 or younger.

Or maybe its the place, apparently heard from Chau,that on several occassions when he was in the queue for MOS with his Finnish cauasian friends, the bouncer actually singled them out to get ahead of the queue. I was like...WHAT? We are practising this discrimination shit in clubs here, squeaky clean Singapore, arent they afraid that this is taken up to the press, or the govt?

Give me nice clubs with better music and good looking crowd. Most of the time when I look around I see geeky teenages with specs bouncing at some corner, which is such a turnoff. Thoughts wandered off in setting up an exclusive club where only BEAUTIFUL or GOODLOOKING pple are admitted.
